I'm ready for my new family!

Dahlia (Dali)

I'm Available

Our rescue is working with a wonderful human who is in need of rehoming Dahlia aka Dali, her sweet, shy female 3+ year old American Staffordshire Terrier / Pit Mix pup.  She has had her DNA tested and also has some American BullDog and Boxer breeds in her genes!

Rescued in 2024 after living as a stray and raising puppies, Dali had a tough start and can be timid with new people. With patience and kindness, she blossoms into a goofy, affectionate, loyal companion who just wants to be loved.

 Personality & Behavior

  • Shy at first, but deeply affectionate once she trusts you
  • Playful and goofy — expect zoomies and couch snuggles
  • A “velcro dog” who loves being close to her person
  • Strong-willed but very food-motivated and eager to learn
  • Enjoys walks, enrichment toys, and dog parks
  • Not a fan of being approached from behind while leashed

Ideal Home

Dali would thrive in a home that is:

  • Quiet and low-stress
  • Patient and willing to go slow while building trust
  • Experienced with shy or sensitive dogs
  • Has a friendly, confident dog sibling (preferred)
  • Includes a fenced yard for zoomies

 Training & Care

  • House-trained and crate-trained
  • Leash-trained
  • No food aggression or resource guarding
  • No formal obedience training yet, but highly trainable with treats
  • Would benefit from continued socialization and confidence-building (vet visits, new environments)
